Sew Mama Sew! Giveaway!

UPDATE:  Thanks to the Random Number Generator, we have a winner!  She will get the Kona Color Card and the mystery prize, which is the “Right Angle” panel from Angela Walters’ Textures line.  Congratulations!

Yippee!
Yippee!

Commenter 146, Mara Cockman said “I’d love to do a cathedral window block project.”

Mara, I’ve sent you an email!  Good luck to everyone who has entered for other fabulous prizes, and thanks to all who commented and visited.  I have a post in the works about the bucket list items, which I found to be really interesting and inspiring.    Happy weekend, everyone!

Edited to Add: Hey everyone, I am dying to comment in response but don’t want to screw up the numbering system, just in case!  I will start writing back as soon as I get the winning entry number–there are so many interesting things to talk about here.  Thank you!

Welcome, everyone!  I am really happy to participating in the 2013 Giveaway Days sponsored by Sew Mama, Sew.

I love feasts for the eyes, which is probably why I make sure my stash is visible at all times, and why I also want to hang my Kona color card on the wall as art.  It’s just so pretty, all on its own.  So tantalizing, and full of possibility.

For my contribution to Sew Mama Sew’s Giveaway (go look!  There are five full sections of different giveaways!), I offer to you a Kona Color Card:

Up to date with all 243 swatches!

Up to date with all 243 swatches!

I don’t know about you, but there’s never one handy when you need it.  I bought two, and am sharing one with you, and I’ll be throwing in a little something else as a mystery gift.  Here’s the 411 on the contest:

To enter: leave a comment below telling me about That One Project on your bucket list (quilting or otherwise).  Mine is to write a quilting book, someday. I’ve got it all figured out in my head, samples in the works, and a proposal being typed up.  We’ll see if I have the guts to submit!

Comments will be open until May 10 at 5 PM PST, and I will choose a winner with the  random number generator by May 12.  Make sure your comments aren’t anonymous, since my spam filter is set to weed that out.  I promise, I WILL ship internationally.

Good luck!

I’m working on a five book YA fiction series. It’s something I’ve been working on for 7 years, and I really enjoy writing, though I don’t often get the chance. As for quilty stuff, I’d like to one day make a medallion quilt of my own design. We’ll see! 🙂

Although I mostly sew quilts and crafts projects, I would love to be able to sew more clothes for myself. I would love to be able to sew a fancy dress for myself some day soon. My sister is getting married in September and I’m trying to get the nerve to make myself a dress to wear to her wedding.

A hexagon quilt based on a very old quilt from my dad’s family that is falling apart. We used to take it to the beach with us to lay on and boy was it great. It just brings back some great memories and I would like to make one. Probably paper pieced as it would be a labor of love.

I’m just a beginner – I started sewing again last year (after a 20+ year hiatus) and have promised myself I’d make my first quilt this year. Thanks for the giveaway!

One project on my bucketlist is to make the Tula Pink quilt on the cover of the current issue of Love of Quilting! It’s awesome…traditional yet modern with all the Tula fabrics! Thanks!

Bucketlist in terms of quilting is to make a double quilt with lots of cathedral windows on it. I may have to revise it downwards to a smaller quilt!
