I am pleased beyond words to show you my new quilt pattern, “Intersections”! It’s for sale at my etsy shop and on craftsy.
This is a paper pieced pattern, and I’ve written it for a beginner. I’ve been hoarding this bit of Heather Bailey’s “Poppies” from her “Pop Garden” line for ages (and of course, they reprinted it, so you, too, can make it in this colorway if you’ve a hankerin’ for it), and finally had a good chance to use it for testing out things.
It turned out as I had envisioned, which is always nice, but what makes me thrilled beyond belief is how it’s turning out when other people make it. It’s incredibly exciting and satisfying to see how other people take the pattern and turn it into their own unique creation. My version os for a friend’s baby girl, but so far, my testers have made it in red cream and blue for Quilts of Valor, more traditional fabrics with an added border, bright prints in modern fabrics… I can’t wait to show them all to you! For right now, I have a link to my flickr group Mandalei’s Patterns where you can see one of the new tops, and, if you make a version, maybe add your own. That would be awesome! I will be adding thanks to all my testers in the next week, with links to their photos and their blogs, as supplied. Can’t wait to say thank you publicly!
