Oh, and I got some new ink

…and not Tsukineko.

What do you do when you go to Austin? QuiltCon and a tattoo.

What do you do in Austin? Go to QuiltCon and get a tattoo.

I’ve been wanting a tattoo for a while that represented my best beloveds, but perhaps all those studies about the ancient world and magic were what made me superstitious about getting anything in writing.  Well, maybe the star magazines, too.  And all those reality shows.  So, anyway.  The Charles Rennie Mackintosh roses have long been a favorite of mine (I’m a big fan of the deco and arts and crafts periods), and a version was even on our wedding invitations.  I asked my artist, Corry Correia at True Blue to add a third rose for my three family members, and he did, based on the original CRM painting.
