About once every 2 months, I finally sit down and sort through the thousands of posts I have in my reader. It’s not that I don’t like reading blogs–on the contrary, I love it–but, like Pinterest, I find that I spend more time browsing and poking around and that takes away from my productivity. Since I only get about 2 or 3 hours during daytime hours… well, that adds up to a whole lotta nuthin’ goin’ on. Which makes me feel depressed, which makes me motor around online more, which leads to more nuthin’… you get the vicious cycle. That, and I want to make stuff from my own head, and it’s hard to do that when you’re overwhelmed with what everyone else is doing.
Anyway. Back to the point. I was *finally* reading stuff tonight, and found an interview at Modern Quilts Unlimited with Kathy Mack, owner and operator of Pink Chalk Fabrics (it’s from a couple of weeks ago). In it, they asked her what her favorite quilt was in the magazine, and she picked “Modern Spin”! She said some nice things about it, and liked what made it special for me to make: using a “restrained” color palette and a fun design. Super excited I am, and touched.
