I thought I’d post a picture of all my WIPs, some from *years* ago. It’s a way of celebrating for me, since it shows me what I’ve accomplished and how far I’ve come.
So, here’s a picture of what I was able to dig up:
From top to bottom, left to right:
- Sailboats (top row): pieced last summer (2012) because I was in an HST mood. Love the juxtaposition of Japanese indigo prints with modern fabrics. Need to figure out what I want to do with them; they’re only in a row because I didn’t want to lose them!
- 9 patch (middle row, left): made this in 2005? I used a large number of different white on white prints, with a single square of a bright color in the middle. Wasn’t sure at that point what to do with them, because the whole “negative space modern thing” hadn’t started and I wasn’t that good at machine quilting yet. Now have glorious new plans.
- Triple Irish Chain (middle, second from left): started in 2005. Made a twin for my grandparents, and had enough left to make another twin. Didn’t get to finishing it because, hey, I had just made one, already!
- “Gamela” from Modern Quilt Wokshop (middle row, right side): Supposed to be for a friend’s wedding present 2 (ok, maybe 3) years ago. I got pregnant with #2, and now they just had #1. Oops.
- Mendocino Snowballs (bottom row): from a couple of years ago. Little fiddly linen squares got to me, then our terminally ill cat threw up on a few and I had to wash them which throws everything out of whack. Creatively and otherwise. Time to finish them up!
