I got something today that I’ve been really excited for, in an otherwise kind of gross day (snow on the ground? check. Missed appointment with the dermatologist who takes months to get into? check. Little girl possibly ill? check. House in shambles? You betcha.). I have long been a fan of Ann Wood and her work, and had ordered a songbird almost 2 years back, a pirate named Fritz. I think I’ve written before on my love of ships and sailing (and adventure), so when she had a sale recently on her boats with merry wobblers, I couldn’t resist. I think I ordered around Valentine’s Day, and requested bright cheerful colors in reds or oranges or yellows.
And today, my ship and her merry wobbler crew arrived.
Love the vintage fabrics so much, and that plaid is awesome. And everything is just so cheerful when it’s so darn snowy out, like being in sunshine even if you’ve forgotten what warm weather feels like.
And here’s Lady Captain with Fritz the pirate. I think they’ll be good friends.
