Back in June, I had entered my mini quilt into the Ellison Lane Mini Challenge. Lo and behold, I was chosen by the random number generator to receive a prize pack from Dritz! It arrived this week, and I am pretty excited about it, since it incudes a ruler I’ve been ogling:
This isn’t a standard ruler, but is all set up to make cuts for squares and rectangles across the diagonal, which is important for on-point piecing. I have quite a few things I need to work on with those types of cuts, so I am looking forward to playing with it. And a new 45 mm rotary cutter is *always* nice. I have an Olfa (which I hate) and two different Fiskars (which I love) and it will be fun to compare. You know, because, Nerd Alert.
Thanks again, Ellison Lane!

looks like fun, always good to get free stuff in the mail! I use a gingher rotary cutter, I have had it for the past 5 years now and I absolutely love it, it takes regular fisker blades which is great, and just works like a charm…. if you ever see one on sale, splurge for it!
