Spring is coming!
At the end of a long, cold winter, the promise of Spring is tantalizing, isn’t it? The winter encourages us to feel dormant, hibernate, retreat. Winter is a good time to take stock of what nourishes the soul! This winter, I thought, what is it that nourishes me? Making my own quilts from concept to finish is huge for me. But then I thought that creating and working in isolation isn’t nearly as fulfilling as being able to share that delight with others.
I love teaching, I love quilting, and I love sharing my passion and delight with everyone.
I believe everyone should have the freedom and encouragement to make the things their hearts, minds and souls call them to make. My job is to provide help and service along the way, quilting, teaching, support or “other”. It even says “encourager” right on my business cards!
I’ve been thinking about my goals and plans quite a bit as I grow my business, Mandalei.
It’s time to bloom, friends. I am looking to rent a studio space, hopefully in our local art district. My vision is that the studio as a place for clients to drop off their quilts for longarm work, a place where I create my own work, and a place where I can pass on my knowledge and delight through teaching. I am excited, nervous, and feel like I’m soaring on the warm wind of the coming spring, and I feel the quickening of new growth in my soul!
