I’ve been working on this quilt for a while now. It’s the quilt that inspired my first submission to Modern Quilts Unlimited (the pattern will be in their second issue!), and which gave me a real boost. It’s also the only quilt I think I have ever named on purpose: “Perseverance”.
I have been working on this in dribs and drabs the last few months, as I’ve been setting up my new business, organizing the Saratoga Modern Quilt Guild (as small as it is, it still took some doing), and practicing on my longarm. With two kids under five, whom I love dearly but who require a great deal of attention. I think my youngest will be thrilled that she will be going to a preschool for 2s three days a week. Without her big brother (in kindergarten) she’s bored and lonely! I have two more wide borders to work into this, and then it’s going to be loaded up on the machine to be finished… as soon as possible! I have another quilt to make for QuiltCon, and a special quilt commission that I’ve been doodling about, so I will be getting ot work on those with a bit more aggression very soon!
